Stratford: "Why is it okay for a union to strike when they don't get their way but not okay for a company to lock the union workers out when the company wants some concessions? You know these same people would be out on strike if the union wanted it." A health center in Milford locked out its employees, which has caused financial problems for a Stratford family. East Haven: "Great....they can record me paying my taxes." Media swarmed East Haven Town Hall to cover the resignation of the embattled police chief. A photo posted on the East Haven Patch Facebook page of the broadcast media trucks parked in front elicited this comment. 

North Branford: "Why do we just say just 'Sorry?' We accidentally bump into someone and we say 'Sorry.' Wouldn't it be more appreciated to say, 'I'm sorry I bumped you.' I guess it's just that we are in such a hurry we really don't have time to say the whole thing and leave that to be understood."
