Do You Attend Bridgeport Sound Tigers Hockey Games? [POLL]
According to one reader who emailed Stratford Patch yesterday, despite being a quality team, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers get no love when it comes to attendance.
Reader Jim McGuire emailed Stratford Patch Tuesday with the following message regarding the Sound Tigers of neighboring Bridgeport:
I attend about 10 games a year with my son. We love the team and the quality of hockey is very good. But the attendance is terrible. I know the announced attendance is always above 4,000 but whenever we're at a game the actual attendance can't be more than 2,000-2,500.
McGuire went on to say the team has won 16 of its last 18 and are only one point out of first place. He said he doesn't understand why attendance is so poor and was wondering if Patch could ask its readers in Stratford why they don't attend the games.
So, readers, if you are one of those who are absent from the Sound Tigers games, what's your reason? Answer our poll and feel free to elaborate in the comments.

Please vote! I'd really love to get an idea as to why more people don't attend these games. This is a higher quality of play versus the Bluefish. The players on the Soundtigers are a heartbeat away from the NHL versus the Bluefish being an independent team with no MLB affiliation.

Hockey died in 04-05 with the NHL lockout. And at least I'm outside on a nice day for a Bluefish game instead of inside a freezer.

Only once or twice a season. Greater attendance would make me more likely to go more often.
