The devil is in the details???? What a sly comment. What else can be found in the details?? Next weRead More are going to hear about taking down trees to sell lumber. Funny how the chairman left his own commission in the dark. Bob ford admits he had no knowledge, and they were shocked that this happened. He tries to make the dog park the bad guys.. Seems like a distraction. What scares me is that he leads a commission in charge of such valuable resource. Clearly there is a breakdown in communication which demonstrates a failure of leadership. I feel bad for the other committee members who didn't want such devastation to occur. "The new growth will be mostly grass?" I'm glad we pay some of the highest taxes in the country so that Roosevelt can have more grass. This is an abuse of town resources. Residents of Stratford deserve transparency. If the drafters of the forest plan feel that a dog park is the right fit, what is the objection? This smells fishy.

Now that it's cleared, might as well put a dog park there! I mean, after all, they can't claim itRead More will ruin any habitat now!

What the site will be used for is still not clear. Also the statement, "The commission approvedRead More the work about 18 months ago...I was unaware they were going to do that right away" doesn't make much sense. We never intended to start a war, we were just looking for clear answers, and even after a week, we don't have them. The forestry consultants emailed us and said they were willing to help the town find a location within the forest many months ago. Perhaps now, since the damage has been done, these consultants can advise on a location.
